I hired Pure Moving Company last fall for a full-service pack and move, and it was some of the most terrible service I have ever received. The packing and moving aspect was horrible, and the customer service after the fact was also the worst. It was such an exhausting process that I just didn’t want to have to deal with it anymore. But I am now finally leaving a review because I want others to know what happened- because I know I’d want to know.

I’ve attached below screenshots of the email I sent to them after the move was complete. They connected me to the emotionally infantile and unprofessional complete narcissist of a general manager, Frank Eady, who proceeded to flip flop between flattering me and screaming at me on the phone in response to me requesting a refund.

Normally I would have packed myself and just had people do the moving, but due to my hand disability, I needed help with the packing this time. As they did a terrible job, damaged things, lied, were disrespectful, and ultimately failed to complete the task of preventing me from having to pack and move things myself due to the disability, I requested a refund.

Hilariously, Frank accused me of trying to ruthlessly bankrupt a small family-owned business, as if I should feel bad for THEM because I requested a refund for a small job they did terribly and intentionally took several times as long as necessary for (thus upping the price), simply because they are a “small family owned business” trying to rip me off. It’s especially absurd considering they have multiple successful locations across California, so I doubt they were actually struggling in a time when everyone in the bay area was moving (last fall).

They were very punctual and careful, Mark and valentine did a really good job and i will recommend my friends and family to have them as a first option
